Who or What Is Crow Eater?
Crow Eater is a music thought experiment (or crime, depending on your opinion) perpetrated by Wisconsin based musician and general crack-pot Jaems Murphy. an alt-country rock sounding band based out of Milwaukee and South Eastern-ish Wisconsin.
At its core, Crow Eater is the sound of a rootsy folk country inspired rowdy American heartbeat rolling down from the mountains and across the land.
Jaems crafted songs and stories telling tales of hard times, bad luck and heartbreak with a sly sense of humor; using words and taking inspiration from the writings of Charles Brokenson, a near mythic figure from obscure American folk lore and legend.
Crow Eater endeavors to create an atmosphere harkening back to when Charles Brokenson lived. A time before perfection was the only prize and recorded music had yet to proliferate the environment; when a song was passed down from generation to generation to be honored as an heirloom.
